Marking Steven Julien and Kyle Hall’s CROWN EP World Tour, Carhartt WIP has joined forces with Apron Records to create a collection inspired by the duo’s recent project.

Consisting of two t-shirts and two hooded sweatshirts, the designs draw inspiration from Hall and Julien’s ancestral African heritage, while also incorporating lyrics from James Massiah – who is featured on the EP – in a subtle homage to the ancient scribes of Egypt. This focus on identity and roots is also a reflection of the formative influence the cities of London and Detroit have had on the two artists.

Crown is the first time Hall and Julien have released a project together in a decade, following on from two previous releases under the alias Funkinevil. The resulting tour will see Steven Julien play in Japan and Korea.

These exclusive products will be available from 11th October Exclusively at Apron pop up in Manhattan Records Shibuya Tokyo and London pop up in November.
